The Broncos are bringing up some safety help for tonight’s game against the Indianapolis Colts

Anthony Harris has been elevated from the team’s practice squad for the contest.

Harris entered the league in 2015 and has played for the Vikings and Eagles. He tied for the NFL lead in interceptions with six in 2019. For his career, Harris has tallied 340 tackles (207 solo), 10 picks (including a TD), 31 passes defensed, one forced fumble and four fumble recoveries. He was signed to Denver’s practice squad back on Sept. 14.

The Broncos also promoted outside linebacker Jonathan Kongbo to the 53-man roster. He was in the CFL in 2021, playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after a brief stint with the San Francisco 49ers in 2020. He takes Randy Gregory’s roster spot, after Gregory needed a knee scope and was placed on IR earlier this week.

Denver also made the elevation of running back Devine Ozigbo from the practice squad to the gameday roster official. With the newly-signed Latavius Murray inactive, it will be Melvin Gordon, Mike Boone and Ozigbo at running back for the Broncos.

After this game, Denver will have some much-needed time off. They won’t play again until Monday Night Football on Oct. 17, in Los Angeles against the Chargers.
