The Denver Broncos were battered and bruised in a 32-23 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

Not only did they lose the game, they suffered two key injuries.

Both running back Javonte Williams and edge-rusher Randy Gregory exited the game with knee injuries. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett said postgame both guys will have MRIs on Monday. Hackett told Rod Mackey of 9NEWS he was “crossing his fingers” on both injuries.

Obviously, Williams and Gregory are key pieces for Denver. They can’t afford to lose either for an extended period of time. And while Williams was spotted leaving the stadium on crutches, Gregory had some good news for 104.3 The Fan insider Mike Klis.

Until the MRI reveals the results, we won’t know for sure, but that’s good news overall. Gregory had two QB hits and two tackles on Sunday against the Raiders. On the season, Gregory has two sacks and two forced fumbles. He’s been an excellent free agent addition, constantly pressuring the opposing QB through four games.

Gregory, of course, has missed a lot of time thus far in his NFL career. Some has been injury related, some has been suspension related. Durability and availability are big questions when it comes to him as a player, but the talent is obviously there.

So, for now, it’s good news. But test results on Monday will be needed to confirm as much.
