Could the Nuggets lose yet another member of their organization?
The Kroenkes have let several key basketball people get away. Could Jason Terry, head coach of the Grand Rapids Gold, be the eighth?

The Denver Nuggets suffered a big blow this offseason when president of basketball operations Tim Connelly left for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He was the third front office executive to leave the organization in the last decade, so the pattern is concerning.
The Nuggets have also lost four assistant coaches the past six years, including Jordi Fernandez earlier this offseason to the Sacramento Kings. Not counting players, that’s seven key basketball folks the Kroenkes have let get away.
Could Jason Terry, head coach of Denver’s G League team, the Grand Rapids Gold, be the eighth?
The Utah Jazz have received permission to interview NBA G League Grand Rapids Gold coach Jason Terry for the franchise’s head coaching job, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Terry is also under consideration for assistant positions with other NBA teams.

Obviously going from the NBA’s version of AAA to coaching a perennial playoff team would be a massive promotion for Terry, so no one would blame he if he took the Jazz job should he be offered it. At the same time, it would be another departure from the Nuggets organization that the team would have to fill.
Terry was a very solid NBA player for 19 years before accepting the job with the Gold last August. The Nuggets and Gold began their partnership on on April 27, 2021, with the team previously known as the Grand Rapids Drive.
We’ll see what happens with Terry and the Jazz, but the Nuggets could be on the verge of losing yet another talented basketball mind.
