Oddsmakers think Broncos will win double-digit games for first time since 2015

The Denver Broncos are going to be a lot better in 2022.

When you trade for Russell Wilson, add Randy Gregory, D.J. Jones and several other quality free agents, that’s a given.

But just how much better will the Broncos be this season? The oddsmakers (who are generally pretty good) gave us our first idea on Friday. DraftKings Sportsbook released its over / under win totals for every NFL team and there are some interesting numbers.

First and foremost, the Broncos over / under for wins is 10. If they hit it right on the nose, it’d be the first time since 2015 the team has won double-digit games. They, of course, won Super Bowl 50 that season but have struggled ever since. Denver won nine games in 2016, followed by totals of five games, six games, seven games, five games and seven games. All those seasons were 16 games except for this past one when the NFL expanded the regular season to 17 games and Denver finished 7-10.

The Broncos have said goodbye to Gary Kubiak and hired and fired Vance Joseph and Vic Fangio since the last time they reached 10-plus wins. It’s been a long six seasons in Broncos Country, but this could be the year it finally turns around.

Other interesting numbers on the board for Broncos fans:

Las Vegas Raiders: over / under 8 wins
Los Angeles Chargers: over / under 10 wins
Kansas City Chiefs: over / under 11 wins
Seattle Seahawks: over / under 6.5 wins
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: over / under 11.5 wins
Green Bay Packers: over / under 11 wins

Well, it certainly doesn’t look like the oddsmakers are high on Drew Lock and Seattle. They also forecast the AFC West to be pretty darn competitive and Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers to continue to thrive in the NFC.

But as it pertains to the Broncos, if the oddsmakers are in the ballpark, it will be their first winning season in six years. A long time coming, but a wait well worth it.
