The Denver Broncos are still looking for an answer at right tackle.

Could one of Russell Wilson’s former teammates in Seattle fill that void? Potentially.

According to Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network, the Broncos will host former Seahawks starting right tackle Brandon Shell for a visit on Tuesday.

Denver did bring back Calvin Anderson and sign Tom Compton to compete for the spot, but might not be done evaluating it just yet. Shell has played six seasons in the NFL, his first four with the Jets and the last two with Seattle. He started all 21 games he played in the last two seasons for the Seahawks, and started 40 of 49 games for New York from 2016-2019.

While Shell certainly isn’t a household name, he obviously has familiarity with Wilson. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where Denver GM George Paton would host Shell for a visit without consulting Wilson for input first.

It wouldn’t be a home run signing like La’el Collins could have been, but for the right price, Shell could be Denver’s answer at a position that has given them trouble for quite some time.
