Despite very low odds of making the playoffs this season, at least Colorado ranks above one MLB squad in terms of postseason hopes

The bad news is the Colorado Rockies have the lowest odds to make the postseason in 2021 out of all National League teams, according to a FanGraphs projection released Tuesday.

The good news? At least they’re not the Baltimore Orioles, whom the analytics group gives literally no chance of making the postseason at 0.0 percent odds.

Adding insult to injury, on the opposite end of the spectrum from the Rockies 0.1 percent odds are the Los Angeles Dodgers, whose chances of a postseason berth amount to 96.7 percent — best among all MLB teams.

Fellow N.L. West foe San Diego ranks second among all teams, just trailing the Dodgers with 92.9 percent odds.

The report comes just a week after the Baseball Prospectus’s PECOTA system projected the Rockies to have an approximately a 60-102 season in 2021, worst in the MLB.
