Von Miller’s season isn’t over, but he won’t be helping the Bills for a while

Super Bowl 50 MVP and former Denver Broncos star Von Miller has a chance to win his third championship this year.
But the edge-rusher won’t be on the field for the Buffalo Bills any time soon, as an injury he suffered on Thanksgiving Day against the Lions has temporarily paused his season. The team made a roster move on Thursday, and Miller will miss multiple games.
Now official: Bills officially placed Von Miller on injured reserve, meaning he’s out at least four weeks.

Bills’ GM Brandon Beane explained what went into Buffalo’s thinking, who still has six games to play until the playoffs. They will take on the Patriots in a few hours on Thursday Night Football, obviously without Miller.
“We’ve been assessing Von this week and seeing how he is, and we don’t want to rush him back. This gives us a chance to go ahead and count tonight’s game and three more on injured reserve. And hopefully we can get him back for the stretch run,” Beane said, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
It makes sense, but with Buffalo in a fight in the AFC and in their division, this is certainly a blow. The 8-3 Bills are currently tied atop the AFC East with the Dolphins and the No. 5 seed in the conference due to tiebreakers. Thought by many to be Super Bowl favorites, the Bills would love to have at least one if not multiple home playoff games.
Miller, of course, was brilliant in his Broncos career and one of the greatest players in franchise history. Fans will forever remember his iconic strip sacks of Panthers’ QB Cam Newton to help deliver a third Lombardi Trophy to Denver. He was traded last year to the Rams, where he earned his second Super Bowl ring after they beat the Bengals to win it all.
Let’s hope Miller is back for a postseason run and earns another title. The city of Denver will certainly be pulling for him, whenever he can return.
