Tad Boyle keeps rolling, lands local four-star hooper for CU Buffs

The Colorado Buffaloes great week on the hardwood continues, as Tad Boyle has just landed another standout high school hooper.

The Buffs already got five-star Cody Williams for next year’s team six days ago and went into Nashville to top No. 11 Tennessee on Sunday. Williams is the highest-rated signee since Chauncey Billups while the win was the best upset away from Boulder also since the 1990s.

Now 6-foot-10 center Assane Diop from Accelerated Prep in the Denver metro is headed up the road to Boulder. Diop is a four-star player, ranked No. 56 in the country by ESPN and No. 92 by 24/7 Sports.

Diop selected Colorado over Seton Hall and Arkansas in a very fun video at his press conference on Tuesday.

With Williams and three-star guard Courtney Anderson, Colorado now has the No. 15 class in the country for next year, per 24/7 Sports.

Diop is the No. 2 player in the state of Colorado, next to the widely known Baye Fall. Could the two high school teammates join up in college? The Denver Post suggested that may happen on Sunday. Diop previously played at Belleview Christian, and each of the two now teammates are both from Senegal. Fall committed to Arkansas at the same presser but maybe it’s worth keeping in mind for the future.

This would be a monster class, led by Colorado stars—reminiscent of the 2012 class that brought Josh Scott to Boulder.
