Empower Field and Mile High was hype on Sunday as the Denver Broncos played their home opener of the 2022 NFL.
What that meant was Russell Wilson’s Denver debut in orange and blue. Wilson threw for 340 yards and a touchdown in Seattle in Week 1.
Wilson just had to be clutch, looking for his 25th fourth-quarter comeback of his career, the Broncos had the ball down 9-6 in the fourth. His first drive of the final quarter was highlighted by a 33-yard pitch and catch to Courtland Sutton. Then on a first down, he found Eric Saubert for a 22-yard strike to give the Broncos a lead and Wilson his first touchdown in orange.
