Nikola Jokic rated second-best player in NBA2K23, so who is better?

Nikola Jokic is one of the best basketball players in the world, but he’s not the best—at least according to NBA 2K23, the video game which releases this Friday.
Despite winning back-to-back NBA MVPs, the premier NBA video game gave the nod to former back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Jokic just went toe-to-toe with Giannis overseas, and the Denver Nuggets center got the upper hand, even hitting a clutch shot over one of the world’s best defenders. But it is understandable to have Giannis over Jokic, given the Bucks’ title run two seasons ago.
In all honesty, it seems like Jokic is getting much more respect than he used to. Tied with LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid is not a bad place to be. So if you’re picking 2K teams anytime soon, you can be assured your favorite superstar is rated correctly, and you can roll with the Nuggets.
And if you’re a slasher, there’s more good news: Aaron Gordon’s dunk rating is near the top. So you can pass with the Joker and slam it with the former dunk contest savant.
