Nikola Jokic cooks Giannis Antetokounmpo, leads Serbia in OT win

Team Serbia is still alive thanks to the heroics of back-to-back NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.
Jokic led his country over former back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in a World Cup qualifying match in Belgrade, Thursday. Serbia eeked it out 100-94 in overtime. Antetokounmpo went for 40 points on 14-of-25 shooting with eight rebounds and five assists. But Jokic out-did Giannis with 29 points on 11-of-16 shooting with eight rebounds and six assists.
Two of Jokic’s most clutch points came down the stretch in the fourth quarter when he Sombor Shuffled on Antetokounmpo.

The two battled into overtime, where Serbia finally took the lead for good.

Serbia stars the Eurobasket Tournament at the beginning of next month. Jokic will be back in his second home of Denver soon after.
