Nazem Kadri scored one of the most unique goals in Colorado Avalanche history on Wednesday, lifting the Avs to a 3-1 series lead over the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final.

Kadri’s goal was made all the more remarkable because he hadn’t played in 18 days, coming back in rapid time to help his Avs team.

In Game 4, his team helped him realize his winner did indeed go into the net.

Twelve minutes into overtime, Kadri’s rush and deke faked out Andrei Vasilevskiy so bad that he didn’t know the puck went in, which in turn confused the forward. Vasilevskiy wasn’t the only Bolt confused either.

As Kadri turned away from the goal, you can hear his teammates yelling, “it’s in!”

Watch and listen below:

“I didn’t really know if it went in,” Kadri said. “I just tried to make a little move there and go far side and I’m assuming that’s where it went  and found a hole but it was a bit of a delayed reaction. I thought he made the save for a second and and next thing you know people are sprinting towards you.”

The Avs will play Game 5 in Denver on Friday night.
