The Denver Broncos are getting closer to being sold.

9News Denver and 104.3 The Fan Broncos Insider Mike Klis reports that sources tell him second-round bids to buy the Broncos are due by Monday. Klis says four groups are expected to make bids with a possible fifth longshot.

Klis lists:

  1. Rob Walton-Greg Penner
  2. Josh Harris
  3. Jose E. Feliciano, Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly
  4. Matt Ishbia and Justin Ishbia

Klis says Byron Allen is in a fifth group but is considered a longshot. The reporter also detailed some updates about Boehly’s bid since he just brought the soccer club, Chelsea.

Klis wrote on Twitter, “It would be stunning – STUNNING – if Boehly/Feliciano/Eghbali bought Chelsea and then Feliciano/Eghbali/Boehly bought the Broncos in, say, a 30-day period. But they got a shot.”

The Broncos are on sale by the Pat Bowlen Trust and will sell to the highest bidder. The sale is expected total upward of $4 billion and possibly up to $5 billion.
