Nathaniel Hackett makes most extensive comments yet on Aaron Rodgers

As the NFL Combine rolls on, Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett continues to make the interview rounds.
He had his podium session with the general media on Tuesday and spoke with NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano later that afternoon.
And while Siciliano tried his best to get Hackett to say something about his buddy Aaron Rodgers, he couldn’t get much out of him.
Hackett, of course, was Rodgers’ offensive coordinator the last three seasons in Green Bay and many hope he can lure the reportedly unhappy Rodgers to Denver.
It’s anyone’s guess whether the two are in contact, but we got some more insight from Hackett on Thursday morning.
Joining “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network, Hackett was asked a couple of questions about Rodgers. His answers provided his most extensive comments about Rodgers to date.
“Legitimately, Aaron could be anywhere in the world right now,” Hackett said when asked where he thinks Rodgers is in his decision making process. “I just want the best for him, you know, and the only person that knows what Aaron is going to do is Aaron. I’m just so happy for him and all the experiences that we’ve had these past three years. God, we had a lot of fun. We’ll see, it’s just good to be there for him if he needs anything.”
Hackett was then asked if he can reach out to Rodgers and recruit him given the fact that he’s under contract with another team.
“No, nothing at all. He’s a Packer and I’m a Bronco and I wish him the best. I know he does the same for me,” Hackett said.
Hackett’s a smart man and he’s not going to tamper on the NFL’s own television channel of all places, but his comments are interesting.
He sounds like a man who knows what a good time he had with someone and could continue to have, should they remain friends. To use a bad dating analogy, Hackett would be willing to continue the relationship if the other party agree that’s the best decision.
Nathaniel Hackett certainly seemed a bit nostalgic on Thursday morning when talking about Aaron Rodgers; and what’s the best way to cure nostalgia? With a reunion.
