Could the Broncos be a landing spot for Rodgers in 2022?

The Denver Broncos could be one of four potential landing spots for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in 2022, according to an article from Bleacher Reports’ Brent Sobleski.
According to Bleacher Report, instead of restructuring Rodgers’ current contract to create more salary-cap space in the short term or even converting last week’s $6.8 million roster bonus into a signing bonus, Green Bay chose to leave the deal as-is.
By redoing Rodgers’ deal, Green Bay would have held onto the quarterback for a few more years.
The Broncos are one of four teams that could land Rodgers because of the team’s salary-cap space and their position in this year’s NFL Draft (indicating they won’t draft a top quarterback prospect).
“The idea of making a strong play for Rodgers would be an organizational decision,” Sobleski wrote. “General manager George Paton could be less than a year into his tenure and tasked with moving on from the team’s young quarterback, Drew Lock, while making the league’s biggest move since Elway signed Peyton Manning nine years ago.
“Elway’s fingerprints were all over that acquisition, and his demeanor likely lured the all-time great to the Mile High City.”
Obviously it has been indicated by the Packers that Rodgers will return for the 2021 season.
Many situations would have to go wrong for the Broncos in this scenario — Lock not living up to starting quarterback expectations in 2021 (considering he gets the chance), the Broncos not drafting a quarterback or not acquiring Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson in a blockbuster trade.
Anything can happen.
Rodgers to the Broncos is a long shot, but Denver has landed a star power quarterback before.
