Pritchard calls on Broncos to ‘blow this team up’ after Kelly arrest

UPDATE: The Denver Broncos have released quarterback Chad Kelly following his arrest Tuesday on a charge of first-degree criminal trespass.

In the wake of Denver Broncos quarterback Chad Kelly’s arrest early Tuesday morning, “Pritchard and Cecil” co-host Mike Pritchard has called on the organization to make drastic changes.

Kelly was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal trespass after allegedly entering a residence nearby to the Gothic Theatre in Englewood, where Denver players had been celebrating their annual Halloween party.

Sources told 104.3 The Fan’s Orlando Franklin that Kelly was seen intoxicated at the party.

But on Tuesday, Pritchard said that the issues with Denver at the moment go beyond the actions of one player, that they’re “systemic.”

“This is an organizational issue now that is just getting started. Chad Kelly’s the domino,” Pritchard said. “They should blow this team up. I think Broncos Country kind of deserves more than that at this point. These guys don’t care about winning games when they’re doing this.”

In a video posted by TMZ on Tuesday, Denver players at the party can be seen dressed up with costumes and props that allude to cocaine use.

“You’re looking at the images on TMZ, right? They’re not thinking about Kansas City. I mean, these players that are older vets with Super Bowl rings and paid, man, they just want to have fun,” Pritchard said. “This whole organization, the Broncos, they’re trying to repair themselves. You tell me these players are helping them out.

“The sooner the Broncos get to the younger players who want to play for the Broncos and want to be hungry for the Broncos the better off this organization will be.”
