Pritchard & Cecil – 05/08/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Tuesday’s show the guys talk about the Broncos running back position this year, the Broncos building their roster to compete in the AFC West this season and some other off-season thoughts as Denver gets set to begin rookie mini camp this week.
Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk about Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders as Cecil has some thoughts on Emmanuel Sanders. What does he want to see out of the veteran wide receiver? Pritchard & Cecil both look at the wide receiver as well as how this offense might be different this season. Also, the guys look at another position along the offense with the running back position. C.J. Anderson is now officially a Carolina Panther. What does Cecil have to say? It’s official, and it’s his final good bye. The guys give their thoughts on Anderson’s time as a Bronco and where they now go from here.
Our very own Brandon Stokley does not see Devontae Booker making this Broncos team. What do Pritchard & Cecil have to say about this? If he doesn’t make the team, who would be the guy? Pritchard & Cecil continue to break down the teams running back situation.
Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about how the Broncos went about building their roster up this off-season. The guys break down how the Broncos have attacked both the draft and free agency. Mike Pritchard explains why he feels the Broncos built their offense and team in general around the AFC West and how they can best compete with other teams in the AFC West. Pritch goes onto further explain how the Broncos have built their strengths around competing better inside the AFC West in 2018. Cecil Lammey agrees as the guys also break down how the teams running back group was constructed this season and if they have enough inside their current running back group.
Also, the guys talk about some early 2019 mock draft thoughts and how some experts are seeing where the Broncos might finish the season record wise this year. The guys also look at the outlook from some other AFC West teams and where they might finish.
Hour three Pritchard & Cecil talk about the Broncos defense and how much of a game changer new Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb can be this season. The guys discuss how Chubb will help the Broncos defense in 2018. The fellas explain why Chubb will be able to help keep Von Miller rested as well as Von will be able to take a few plays off here and there to stay fresh and rested for the long haul for Denver. The guys also look at another new Bronco in quarterback Case Keenum. The guys talk about how Keenum can change the Broncos offense drastically in 2018. The guys look at the teams quarterback play last year as well and how that hurt the offense overall.
For the rest of hour three Pritchard & Cecil talk about what if things go the wrong way for the Broncos in 2018? Mike Pritchard explains why the Broncos may not have a plan in place if that happens. Cecil Lammey disagrees and thinks that the Broncos new core will set them up to rebuild fully if needed.
