Former Denver Broncos running back, and 2017 1,000-yard rusher, CJ Anderson has found a new home, signing a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers on Monday.
In a post to his Twitter profile, Anderson shared a picture of himself appearing to sign a contract, wearing a Panthers hat, and with the hashtag #KeepPounding — Carolina’s team motto.

Denver released Anderson in mid-April after attempts to trade him were unsuccessful, the five-year NFL veteran told Big Al and DMac at the time.
“I know one thing: The NFL is a daily loyalty business. For five year I had great daily loyalty from the Broncos, and my time is up,” Anderson said in April. “My time ran out.”
Anderson said it was a “hell of a five-year run” with the Broncos, that he “had fun,” “made a lot of great game-changing plays,” and “learned a lot.”
“I’m excited for my next opportunity just because I know I’m a grinder. If anybody knows me out there, they know I’m going to land on my feet. So, we can’t wait to see where we’re next,” Anderson said in April, adding that if he ever gets a chance to play the Broncos again “they’ll definitely remember who I am, I can promise you that.”
In five seasons with the Broncos after signing as an undrafted college free agent in 2013, Anderson rushed for 3,051 yards, including 1,007 in 2017, and 20 touchdowns.
A member of two AFC Championship teams, Anderson scored the only touchdown for the Broncos in the team’s Super Bowl 50 victory over his current team, the Panthers.
Jonathan Stewart, whom Anderson will likely replace in Carolina, scored the only other offensive touchdown in the game
