Creating more turnovers on defense: ‘Pritchard & Cecil’

May 3, 2018, 12:20 PM

Pritchard & Cecil – 05/03/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Thursday’s show the guys talk about what Case Keenum must do in his first season as a Bronco to prove he’s the teams long term quarterback, how the Broncos defense can create more turnovers in 2018 and Shane Ray not having his fifth year option being picked up by the team.

Listen to hour one here!

Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk about the Broncos offense and specifically the Broncos new quarterback this season Case Keenum. Pritchard & Cecil debate a USA Today article saying the Broncos have the 32nd worst quarterback position in the NFL. Pritch takes it a step further and drops the mic. The guys go into where they would rank the current Broncos quarterbacks heading into this season. Pritchard & Cecil also look at the Broncos group of receivers heading into the season this year. Emmanual Sanders wants to teach the young wide receivers everything he knows. Is this surprising? What knowledge could he pass along to the young guys? How will this help the young guys grow into successful NFL wide receivers? The guys break that down

Plus, the Broncos have been pretty bad at this whole draft thing the past couple years, but another team is not extending three first rounders and this team has a great reputation in the draft. Who are they, and are we too hard on the Broncos?

Listen to hour two here!

Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about how the Broncos defense can go about trying to create more turnovers this year. The guys break down a quote from Broncos corner back Bradley Roby yesterday as he commented on that very topic. Pritchard & Cecil weigh in on how the Broncos defense best goes about scheming to trying to create more turnovers in 2018. The fellas then jump back to the offensive side of the ball and give some thoughts on Broncos quarterback Case Keenum heading into 2018. The guys listen react to a quote from Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders yesterday about Case Keenum. The guys weigh in on why this year will be different for the Broncos just because of having a different quarterback.

Also, the guys get into Shane Ray not having his option picked up. Mike Pritchard throws out the question of who has ever stuck it to the Broncos? Pritchard & Cecil go through Broncos history and talk about which players historically stuck it to the Broncos after leaving Denver.

Listen to hour three here!

Hour three Pritchard & Cecil get into quarterback Case Keenum entering his first season as a Denver Bronco. The guys get into what to expect from Keenum and what Keenum has to do in his first year in Denver to prove that he’s a long term option at quarterback for the Broncos. The fellas break down how the Broncos go about measuring the impact of Keenum in his first season in Denver. Mike Pritchard says that a playoff appearance led by Keenum would be enough for him to prove that Keenum is the Broncos long term quarterback option. Cecil Lammey agrees slightly but then takes it another step for Keenum. Cecil Lammey believes that Keenum needs to win a playoff game this season in order to prove that he’s the Broncos long term option at starting quarterback.

For the rest of the final hour the guys talk about the Broncos secondary,Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders coming off of an ankle injury and some other news and notes from around the NFL right now. The guys talk about that and much more!
