Pritchard & Cecil – 03/29/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Thursday’s show the guys talk about the NFL Draft this season, the locker room for the Broncos in 2018 and taking boom or bust players in the first round of the draft.

Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk about the NFL Draft this year for the Broncos. Mike Pritchard explains why he thinks the draft is unpredictable and an unsteady way of totally building a team. Cecil Lammey disagrees and gets fired up. Cecil Lammey goes into his reasoning on why the draft is not as unpredictable as most people say it is and that a team can rely on the draft to get better. The guys then go into which players they would like to see the Broncos get in the first round. Cecil Lammey thinks the Broncos might have the chance to get Saquon Barkley. The guys break down Barkley’s game and if he might be the best player in the draft.

For the rest of the first hour, Mike Pritchard gives some reasons for why he is not welcoming the hype for all of these quarterback prospects in the draft this year. It’s the player in him he explains. Cecil Lammey comes back and debates why some of the hype should be there.

Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about some boom or bust prospects in the NFL Draft this year. The guys talk about which players could be values and which ones could be risky options for any franchise to consider. The fellas also get into Broncos GM John Elway’s comments recently on swinging and missing. The guys break down how Elway won’t be afraid to take a risk on a player in the draft that may be risky but that may have tremendous upside. Pritchard & Cecil also debate the importance of the Broncos pick at number five in the first round. The guys discuss just how important this pick will be for the Denver Broncos in 2018.

Also, the guys talk about the tight end position for the Broncos. The guys look at options outside of team that could make sense to bolster the position. The fellas debate that as well as look at the current state of the position for the Broncos.

Hour three Pritchard & Cecil talk about the culture in the locker room for the Broncos. The guys look at team leaders in the locker room and how the locker room looked last season. The guys break down which locker room culture the Broncos will take on this season. Mike Pritchard talks about how a leader like Case Keenum could emerge on offense and change certain aspects of the teams culture in 2018. Cecil Lammey agrees and talks about what type of locker room culture the Broncos need this season. The guys also talk about how Vance Joseph could shape the locker room in his second year as Broncos head coach. The guys break that down and discuss which other new leaders might emerge in 2018.

For the rest of the final hour the guys talk about the Broncos pick at number five in the first round. Mike Pritchard explains why he doesn’t want to see the Broncos draft a quarterback in the first round. Plus, The guys break down how the Broncos can avoid back to back losing seasons.
