Broncos ‘looking into’ report WR Sanders investigated for sexual assault

Jan 18, 2018, 11:21 AM

The Denver Broncos said in a statement Thursday that they’re “looking into” a report that says wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was the target of a felony sexual assault investigation in Texas.

TMZ.com reported Thursday morning that Saunders had been a focus of a felony sexual assault investigation in Harris County, Texas, but would not be prosecuted.

Court documents reportedly obtained by the celebrity news site said the grand jury in “failed to find a bill of indictment,” meaning it had failed to find sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.

“We are aware of the media report involving Emmanuel Sanders and are looking into it,” the Broncos said in a statement.
