Stokley & Zach 07/07/2017- Demaryius speaks up about the quarterback competition and the upcoming training camp. The Rockies lose to the Reds again.
It’s Friday and the guys are live from Blake Street Tavern downtown. Broncos wide receiver, Demaryius Thomas is having a meeting with the other Broncos receivers next week in LA, and The Fan’s own, Brandon Stokley just happens to be in LA at the same time. Could Demaryius need some help from coach Stoke? The guys dive in on the decision making process the coaching staff has to go through to choose a starting quarterback.
Broncos’ rookie lineman, Garrett Bolles was ranked second among first round picks by NFL insiders on how much playing time he will get based on percentage of snaps. The Drive had a problem with the guys’ comments on Charlie Blackmon and his batting practice. The two shows don’t agree on Charlie’s home run derby preparation. Demaryius Thomas speaks out about a time line for when to choose the starting quarterback. He says that he has confidence in Vance Joseph to make the right decision.
The final hour on Friday kicks off with expectations of training camp and how the season may fare. Brandon thinks that the sooner you pull the trigger on selecting a quarterback the better. If it’s close at all, the guys think it will be Trevor in the end. Zach says it’s now or never for most of The Broncos defense. The Rockies are struggling and the guys think the home run derby needs to take a back seat to the actual season.
