ESPN offers chance to be Peyton Manning’s ESPYS guest to donors

Making a donation to the V Foundation is a worthwhile cause in itself, but ESPN has sweetened the pot a bit.

The first name in sports is offering a chance to be Peyton Manning’s guest at this year’s ESPYS in Los Angeles to those who donate to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

The ESPYS Charity Sweepstakes nets the winner:

• Two tickets to the show on July 12, with red carpet access and passes to the ESPN Party afterward
• Airfare to Los Angeles, a hotel stay, and meals
• A special behind-the-scenes tour of the ESPYS production
• A meet-and-greet with Manning during pre-show rehearsals on site at The Microsoft Theater at LA Live

Sweepstakes hopefuls can make donations in denominations of $20, $50, $75, and $100 for select numbers of entries each.

You can find more information and contest rules at ebay.com/espn-sweeps. The sweepstakes ends June 29.

Manning is hosting the 25th anniversary of the ESPYS two decades after he won the 1998 ESPY for “Best College Football Player.”

He’d go on to win another eight ESPYS throughout his career in the NFL, including “Best NFL Player,” “Best Record-Breaking Performance,” and “Best Championship Performance.”

“It’s an honor to be asked to host The ESPYS, and it’s even more meaningful that it’s the 25th year for this incredible event,” Manning said via an ESPN news release in May.
