Stokley & Zach – 04/24/2017 – Brandon Stokley and Zach Bye live in studio. Monday’s show the guys talk about the upcoming draft and react to what John Elway had to say from out at Dove Valley. Former Broncos offensive lineman Tyler Polumbus and Our Fan Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey both joined the show.
Hour one Zach Bye and Brandon Stokley listen in as Broncos GM John Elway talked to the media. John Elway talks about the upcoming draft, the teams offensive line and some other Broncos story lines as well. The guys then react to the press conference and some of what Elway had to say. Brandon Stokley gives his overall thoughts on what Elway had to say and where he stands now on the Broncos drafting an offensive lineman. Zach Bye also gives his thoughts on the Broncos offensive line and where he stands on the Broncos drafting an offensive lineman.
Former Broncos offensive lineman Tyler Polumbus joined Stokley & Zach. Tyler talks about Ty Sambrailo and gives some insight into when he played with Sambrailo. Tyler also breaks down the Broncos offensive line and where he stands on where they go from here. Tyler also explains why you shouldn’t believe everything you here leading up to the draft. Hour two Zach Bye and Brandon Stokley react more to what John Elway had to say from out at Dove Valley. The guys talk a little about running back prospect Joe Mixon and if he deserves a second chance. Brandon Stokley gives his thoughts on Mixon as a player and why it’s good that the Broncos are doing their work researching him behind the scenes. Zach Bye also gives some of his thoughts on the issue.
Our Fan Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey joined Stokley & Zach. Cecil talks about the John Elway press conference from earlier today at Dove Valley. Cecil sifts through what Elway had to say and what we should just take with a grain of salt. Cecil then discusses some of the prospects this year and why he doesn’t feel the Broncos will take a offensive lineman in the first round. Cecil finishes the interview by talking a little about Joe Mixon and if he could go to the Broncos in the second round of the draft. Listen to the full interview here!
Hour three Zach Bye and Brandon Stokley react to the Patriots adding yet another piece to their offense this off-season. The guys look at who the Patriots have added and if the Broncos need to ad another running back. Brandon Stokley discusses why he would have liked to have seen the Broncos make some offers to free agent running backs that were on the market. Zach Bye also gives his thoughts on the Broncos running back situation. The fellas make the point that the Broncos need to fix their offensive line in order to get a better running game.
For the rest of the final hour the guys look at the upcoming NFL Draft and what’s next for the Denver Broncos. The guys look at the Broncos team needs and where they might go with their first round draft pick. The fellas break that down and much more!
