A day before the NFL embarks on another season, the Denver Broncos ensured wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders will stay in the Mile High City at least three.
General manager John Elway announced via Twitter Wednesday that Sanders and the club had agreed to terms on a three-year extension, keeping the wide out across from Demaryius Thomas until 2019.

The extension will be worth a reported $33 million, including $27 million guaranteed, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Sanders, who played four years in Pittsburgh before signing with Denver as a free agent in 2014, said he wanted to remain in Denver for the foreseeable future.
“I mean this sincerely: The city of Denver has been really good to me. I want to be a Bronco. I want to be a Bronco for a long time. I want to retire a Bronco,” Sanders said.
In 2014, Sanders had a break out year, going for career highs in receptions (101), targets (141), touchdowns (9), and receiving yards (1,404) and earning himself a trip to the Pro Bowl.
On the path to a Super Bowl 50 victory, Sanders put up his second straight 1,000-plus receiving season, averaging a career high 14.9 yards per reception.
