Siemian to start vs. Rams, all 3 Broncos QBs to share time

For the second week in a row it’ll be second-year pro Trevor Siemian, not veteran Mark Sanchez, who will get the start at quarterback for the Denver Broncos in preseason Week 3.
Head coach Gary Kubiak Monday said Siemian will start Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams. Siemian hadn’t started a game in his NFL career before last Saturday’s tilt with the San Francisco 49ers.
Kubiak, however, said all three quarterbacks on the team — Siemian, Sanchez, and rookie Paxton Lynch — will play equally against the Rams.
“They’re all going to play. The biggest thing I’ve got to do is to take a look at how much I’m going to play our starters, as far as how I get the rotation going,” Kubiak said.
As for who starts the team’s regular season opener Sept. 8 against the Carolina Panthers, Kubiak said he’d settle on a quarterback sometime next week. He also indicated that though Siemian gets the nod against the Rams, he’s not leading the competition.
Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan’s Football Insider Cecil Lammey said that even though Kubiak indicated Siemian hadn’t won the starting job, that naming him the preseason Week 3 starter makes him likely the starter Week 1 of the regular season.
Even though Kubiak would not say Siemian has an advantage, to me naming him Wk3 preseason starter says he’s likely Wk1 starter vs #Panthers

Kubiak said he doesn’t envision playing all three quarterbacks in the final preseason game on the road against the Arizona Cardinals.
Kubiak, who said he expected a decision on the starting quarterback job to take as long as it has, gave all three gunslingers kudos for their work in making this battle a real competition.
“I’m proud of all three of them. They’ve worked their tail off,” Kubiak said. They’ve all done good stuff. Obviously, we’ve got some mistakes that we have to get rid of, but we made some mistakes in the past and you find a way to overcome them. That’s part of football.”
Mistakes were abundant in the team’s 31-24 loss to the 49ers Saturday, turning the ball over four times –– including a pick six from Siemian, two fumbles in the red zone from Sanchez, and a late interception from Lynch in a last-ditch effort to make a comeback.
