Don’t expect a starter until after the 2nd preseason game: Sandy Clough

Sandy Clough – 8/9/2016 – Sandy Clough – 08/08/2016 – Sandy Clough live from UC Health Training Center. Tuesday’s show Sandy Clough talks about the Broncos QB battle moving into the first preseason game Thursday, other position battles that will be intriguing this preseason, the Rockies blew another critical game last night in the 9th inning. Cecil Lammey and a few Bronco players will join the show once practice concludes.

Sandy begins the show to talk about practice yesterday and what he has seen so far this morning, including Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian still splitting reps, the defense has looked impressive throughout camp, especially the secondary.

104.3 The Fan’s Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about how the QB’s will split reps for the first two preseason games and how the coaches will evaluate them, the play of DT of Sanders being crucial to the QB’s success, the play on the interior defensive line, the secondary giving our own QB’s problems and who we could see returning kicks and punts this season.  Hear the full interview with Cecil Lammey HERE!

To close out the first hour Sandy discusses the Rockies blowing another 3-1 lead in the 9th inning last night to the Texas Rangers. He looks into Walt Weiss’s decisions late in games with the bullpen. Should Adam Ottavino move back into the closer role instead of Carlos Estevez? Tyler Anderson looked dominate again last night and Carlos Gonzalez left the game the last night with an ankle injury.

Hour two kicks off with Sandy talking about the quarterbacks as a group and how we could see all three of them play this season. Sandy also touches on Mark Sanchez’s time in Philadelphia as a back up and how he played in the back up role and if that would be the best place for him to be here in Denver.

Claudie Minor, former Broncos offensive tackle from the 1970’s joins Sandy out at UC Health Training Center to talk about his time playing in the 1970’s and how new guys came together then and what it will take for the guys this year to come together and he gives a lineman’s perspective on a QB battle in camp.
