The Drive with DMac & Troy Renck LIVE in studio! Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post joins the show to tell DMac & Troy the scene that stuck in his mind the most, and says an emotional Jon Gray getting a bear-hug from Charlie Blackmon was cool to see after the game.

DMac leads off with telling Troy Renck it was a bad day for the Rockies to have a bad day, and the guys break down Colorado’s Wild Card game at Chase Field. DMac asks Troy how he was feeling after the Rockies went down 6-0, and Troy says he thought they were done at that point because they weren’t in the friendly confines of Coors Field. Then the Rockies come back, and Charlie Blackmon bunts a run home. The unforgivable happens, and DMac can’t explain how unprofessional Neshek’s pitch to Bradley was. Renck says Neshek should be ashamed, the Rockies had opportunities, & Neshek should know better. DMac says it was all too much for Greg Holland, and Troy notes that Bud Black had no other option. Also, CarGo comes through with a solid game & Arenado never says die. In the Big 3 @ 3:30, DMac asks Troy if the DBacks cheated, and Troy’s issue is with the principle after the Red Sox just got caught for an Apple iWatch scandal. DMac tells Troy what disappointed him the most in the long run, and the guys comment on Cam Newton’s presser when Cam says it’s funny to hear a female talk about routes. Troy says he’s tired of Cam Newton’s act, and the inconsistencies he’s shown on the field have translated over to the podium. Also, why DMac is now pulling for the Red Sox, Nationals & Indians. Troy asks Patrick about the slider Neshek threw to Bradley in the biggest moment, and Patrick says he’s not sure anyone has talked to Neshek, and everyone was expecting Bradley to be mowed down. In Football @ Four, Troy says all the Broncos’ wins up to this point were necessary if they hope to have a successful ’17 NFL season, and they’ve taken care of business up to this point. The boys draw comparisons with Alex Smith, Joe Flacco & Trevor Siemian, and Troy thinks Siemian & Co. are still searching for their identity when they have a lead. Also, why everyone needs to stop the comparisons with Siemian and Brady or Rodgers. DMac thinks Cam Newton is a jerk after he gets the chance to cover him, and gives the listeners his reason why Cam Newton will never win a Super Bowl. Troy & DMac look back on Jameis Winston’s comments to a classroom, and DMac wonders what the term ‘truck-stick’ means. Troy & DMac discuss reasons why Trevor is a captain, including his hard work, toughness & confidence to transfer the gameplan gone over in practice to plays on the field on Sunday. Also, why Trevor doesn’t shy away from a challenge. Avs fans may be spoiled, coming off the days of watching Patrick Roy, Peter Forsberg & Joe Sakic. The boys are baffled at how to rebuild a hockey team, and DMac is not surprised Joe Sakic is too. DMac wonders who wouldn’t love the Super Bowl on President’s Day weekend, and the guys discuss what adding an extra week to the NFL season would do. Also, only playing Thursday Night Football after a BYE week, and why DMac is picking the Bucs tonight.

DMac & Troy discuss the Archie Bradley sequence in the Rockies game last night, and the pitch that never should have been thrown by Neshek. Renck says something must be going on with Neshek, because he walked a guy for the first time in a long time. Also, Greg Holland doesn’t help ease any tension after giving up another Diamondbacks triple, and what guys the Rockies should bring back next year. DMac’s dad Peter McKee joins the show to give his thoughts on NFL players kneeling for the National Anthem, and the current state of the New England Patriots ahead of their matchup with the Tampa Bay Bucs. Also, the guys make their picks for Thursday Night Football tonight here on The Fan.
