Who Should Organize the Camp: The Drive 7/10/17

The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! The Denver Broncos proposed camp in L.A. has been put to rest, and the guys debate who should have organizing it & what’s the difference between this year & when Peyton Manning or Mark Sanchez organized the camp. Thomas Harding joins the show to talk about the Rockies young pitchers & deciding if their early success is sustainable. Also, the guys talk how embarrassing it would be as a team to get no-hit. Also, Chad Brown joins the show to discuss getting into the CU Athletics Hall of Fame.

The guys talk about who Manning invited to his camps & what happened when Vernon Davis lost his way. DMac asks if Big Al is happy with the Nuggets locking down Paul Millsap, and Al immediately tells him Millsap is not an All-Star in the West.  Thomas Harding joins the show to talk about the Rockies young pitchers & deciding if their early success is sustainable. DMac asks Thomas who he’s got in the MLB All-Star Game & tonight’s HR Derby, and Al asks Thomas’ perspective on a HR Derby to decide a tie game. Thomas says what he saw from Freeland on Sunday was odd, and nearly unbelievable through six innings. Lastly, the guys make sure Thomas still has the Rockies on track to make to Wildcard. Big Al & DMac discuss the differences in Peyton Manning’s offseason mindset & the new mindset with the current Broncos QBs. DMac asks Al why the Broncos would even say they’re going to have a camp, if one will never come to fruition. Al is still certain that Paxton Lynch will be the starter at the beginning of Training Camp, and tells DMac how making the Pro-Bowl & having 1,000 receiving yards is different than winning football games. Also, hecklers during Kyle Freeland’s 8-inning bid for a no-hitter, and questioning the broadcast on whether the no-hitter should be mentioned.

Chad Brown joins the show to talk about being inducted into the CU Athletics Hall of Fame, and DMac wonders who from Chad’s National Championship team is left to be inducted, such as Eric Bieniemy. Chad mentions how the Buffs remain successful in future years, and the pillars that helped him set up to be great. Al says Buffs individuals are only in their respective positions because of the team, and DMac distinguishes who Big Al still has beef with from his college days. Also, staggering NBA veteran money & Who Ya Got featuring the ’17 MLB HR Derby.
