The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Big Al dives into his Big Board on defensive lineman he likes in the 2018 NFL draft. Names on Big Al’s Big Board include Da’Ron Payne from Alabama & Rasheem Green from USC. DMac breaks down the relationship between John Elway & Gary Kubiak, and the real reason Kubiak is back in Denver.

DMac tells Big Al he likes the way Smashville plays, and Big Sexy says at least Pepsi felt the electricity of playoff hockey. DMac says fans love the underdog, and Al is sick of Denver moving players around & not knowing who they are. The boys agree Denver needs more players like Von Miller, and less undrafted players like Rod Smith. Also, busts & bad picks, and what’s up with Shane Ray & Bradley Roby. Al puts a bow on the Avs season by saying he was surprised in a good way, and DMac tries to help Al decide who the consensus number one overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft will be. Also, what the Giants want to do with the number two pick & if Bradley Chubb is a top-5 talent. DMac figures out if Al wants to move out of Denver’s current draft spot, and the guys define Mike Evans ‘khaki pants’ theory. DMac tells Al if the Broncos aren’t interested in a QB in the top-5, they won’t be interested in a QB in the top-20 either.

Big Al goes off the deep end on some guys the Broncos could take a look at with a top-12 pick, and asks DMac to simply watch players like Taven Bryan play. Also, the guys agree what the Giants do in the draft will change everything. Big Al finds out if the Broncos value anyone at QB the way the Chiefs favored Pat Mahomes & the Texans valued Deshaun Watson last year. Also, if Josh Rosen is there at pick number five Al says we’ve got to take him, and DMac agrees it’s all about taking a QB or trading out of the pick. Al tells DMac players 6’0 and under don’t get drafted in today’s NFL. Al defends the Michael Vick pick, and explains why Elway is wrong about his ‘pocket passer’ comment. Al & DMac take some calls from the fellas about height hate in the NFL and if there are certain requirements players must meet in order to fit particular teams’ draft profiles. Al talks about the way the NFL draft goes, and how teams land the guy they really want. The guys wrap up the show by taking some calls on Baker Mayfield and the Boomer Sooner wagon flipping over.
