The Drive with DMac & Chad Brown LIVE in studio! The guys discuss the Broncos offense & what nicknames would work for Siemian, Lynch & Co. Patrick Saunders joins the show to discuss the Rockies upcoming series with the White Sox at Coors, and chances Charlie Blackmon swings himself into a slump by participating in the ’17 HR Derby in Miami.
DMac can’t believe the Denver Broncos are putting together a passing camp so late in the season, and mentions the new coaching staff and the time it takes to install a new offense. Chad debates the curve on HRs-per-game for the HR Derby participants after the All-Star break, and DMac puts an emphasis on the HR Derby screwing up Charlie Blackmon’s swing. Patrick Saunders joins the show to discuss the Rockies upcoming series with the White Sox at Coors, and chances Charlie Blackmon swings himself into a slump by participating in the ’17 HR Derby in Miami. Saunders mentions Charlie’s big pay-day on the horizon, and the importance of being seen at all the big events & growing into a full-fledged superstar. DMac asks Chad what will happen when the Broncos travel to San Francisco to practice against the 49ers, and says the preseason doesn’t matter, especially the games against Chicago & San Francisco. The guys debate the direction Emmanuel Sanders heads in to finish his career out, and DMac wonders about a Broncos passing camp coming together in Los Angeles over the summer. Also, Chad mentions when evaluation of the quarterbacks becomes impossible, and DMac asks what Vance Joseph plans to do with the QB situation.
The boys enter Fantasy Land, where they discuss what it would take to get Philip Rivers or Tom Brady to come to Denver. Chad tells DMac Rivers was reluctant to move to Los Angeles, let alone Denver, CO. DMac wonders if the Broncos rookies will get invited to their summer passing camp, and Chad can’t imagine the thought of Tom Brady in anything but a Patriots uniform when thinking about the end of Joe Montana’s career. Also, Big Sexy asks the guys Who Ya Got between the Rockies & White Sox tonight from Coors Field.
