The Broncos started the 2016 season the same way they ended last season, by upsetting the Carolina Panthers. Big Al and D-Mac are in studio to give their reactions and break down what is important to take away from the roller-coaster ride of a season opener. They are joined by Tyler Polumbus to break down the o-line play from the season opener and Rod Smith to share his thoughts.
The Drive with Big Al and D-Mac opens with the fellas giving their immediate reactions to the Broncos stellar victory over the Carolina Panthers 21-20, a conversation which included some debate about Cam Newton potentially being the best QB in the league and if the NFL is taking the right steps to protecting players from concussions.
The Big Three at 3:30 is headlined by Cam’s Newton’s dad’s comments on the hits Cam took in the game, Andy Janovich making an impact first start, if the defense can live up to it’s success last year, the future of Darian Stewart, great QBs losing to Denver, and the Broncos putting together a dominating rushing attack.
The guys close the hour with some chatter about Brandon Marshall taking a knee during the national anthem, sparking a debate about the intentions behind the action.
