Schlereth & Evans – 3/7/16: Peyton Manning has decided to ride off on top. We go through all of his highlights here in Denver. Schlereth & Evans break down what Manning has meant to this organization and the fan base. Troy Renck of the Denver Post joined the guys to talk about Manning’s legacy. Fox Sports reporter Joel Klatt jumped on to reminisce when Manning first joined the team. Bob Kravitz, Indianapolis Star columnist, joined the show to discuss what Manning means to Indianapolis.

We opened up with the guys placing Peyton Manning where they think he ranks in all-time QBs.

Evans talked about Manning’s record in the playoffs, and he said that doesn’t tell the whole story. Stink discussed how Manning immediately changed the culture of the locker room the day he joined the Broncos, and what that means to the players.

The guys moved on and decided what he did and meant for this fan base. Stink said he is the definition of excellence.

The second hour kicked off with the guys talking about how Manning only missed the playoffs twice his entire career. Jeff Saturday, Manning’s center for 13 seasons, joined the show and talked about his relationship with Manning. He discussed what it was like being in the same locker room as Peyton for that long. He said Manning is a great player and a great person. The way he treated his team was simply amazing.

Bill Polian, former Colts GM, jumped on the show and talks about what he was thinking going into his greatest decision of his career, drafting Peyton Manning. He said back then it was a tough call, but he saw a lot more in Manning. He talked about how much of a class act Peyton really was.

Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star joined the guys to discuss how Indianapolis feels about Manning. He said the love for Manning is as strong as ever. The Love for Peyton Manning will never die in.

The Third and final hour opened up with the guys being joined by Rockies legend and former Tennessee teammate Todd Helton. He talked about Manning’s work ethic back in Tennessee. He said Manning’s influence on whatever community he is a part of is huge, and what he does is amazing.
