Schlereth and Evans – 12/29/2016 – Schlereth and Evans are out today; Cecil Lammey and Mike Klis fill in for the guys. The guys spend much of the show debating what the Broncos should expect from the QB situation in 2017 and beyond.

With Cecil Lammey and Mike Klis in for the guys, the show begins with Cecil and Mike debating the Broncos quarterback both this week against Oakland and moving into the future. As the first hour gets rolling Adam Schefter from ESPN joins the program to discuss the latest from the Broncos and around the league. Listen to the interview HERE! The guys spend some time talking about the resurgent Denver Nuggets as they have been much better since the return of Gary Harris. Mike and Cecil wrap up the hour discussing the latest news on Demarcus Ware and talking about how much he has meant to this team in his time in orange and blue.

The second hour begins with the guys analyzing Paxton Lynch, what he has accomplished in 2016 and if he has the tools to lead this team in the future. The offensive line was a big problem in 2016, Mike argues that the offensive line got spoiled with how quickly Manning got rid of the ball. Siemian is not at a point in his career where he can throw receivers open in the way that Peyton did in his Hall of Fame career. Yesterday on The Drive, DMac had some strong words for Emmanuel Sanders after which Sanders took to Twitter to share his side of the story. The guys discuss the situation and debate if the Broncos should move on from the talented wideout. The second hour wraps up with Cecil and Mike looking back at the Buffs 2016 season and how they can use this year as a building block to return to college football relevancy.

The final hour begins with Mike and Cecil discussing Josh McDaniel’s and the prospects of him getting another head coaching job this off season. The talk transitions to talk about Siemian; what he did well, what he needs to improve on heading into 2017. Trevor had a very rough game in Kansas City, Cecil hopes that trend won’t continue and that Siemian will use the off season to improve. As the final hour continues the guys discuss the Raiders as they head into the playoffs without their young QB, can Mack and the defense step up and lead the team? The show wraps up with the guys discussing what realistic expectations should be for Paxton Lynch against the Raiders if he gets significant playing time in the season finale.
