The Drive with Big Al in Houston & DMac LIVE in studio continues to wind down from a historic Super Bowl LI. DMac considers the look & feel of Mike McCoy & the guys vow to keep close tabs on him. John Elway joins Big Al & DMac and says he has DMac figured out. John remembers Terrell Davis as a player & what made him so great. Parts of Terrell’s personality bled through into the characteristics of the team. Shannon Sharpe joins Big Al & DMac and says Terrell Davis was great, and a no-doubt Hall of Famer. Shannon remembers the man Terrell was, and how he knew what was expected of him.
Big Al talks Freeman bouncing outside in the red zone for a walk-in TD and how he was looking for more of those plays. DMac considers the look & feel of Mike McCoy & the guys vow to keep close tabs on him. Big Al makes some points about McCoy dealing with Paxton Lynch & how Broncos will know who is in charge. Al hopes the entire Broncos team buys in to the new message. In the Big 3, O.J. Howard & Christian McCaffrey keep moving up draft boards. Big Al says Deshaun Watson will be a Top 10 pick. DMac asks Big Al if he is ready to give up on Paxton, and Al says it’s too early. DMac says Trevor will be the starter if there is an open competition at QB. Josh McCown let go by the Browns. Al wants to see what the Broncos QB’s look like when they come back. Shades of Kyle Orton loom, but Al is willing to see what Trevor Siemian could become. DMac says don’t mess with the Texas Rangers when it comes to stealing Tom Brady’s jersey. Things have gotten serious, and Big Al tells us what he knows about the Texas Rangers security team. Also, Big Sexy helps the guys out with a breakdown of the new Daytona 500 format and what changes have been made to America’s greatest race. DMac gives Big Al grief after learning that he didn’t have to hold back when questioning John Elway.
