The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Bob Kravitz joins the show to help decide if Vontae Davis was or wasn’t hurt, and if that’s a reason why the Colts cut him. Kravitz says Indy was confident Andrew Luck would return, and that’s why they didn’t bother to strengthen the QB position this year.

The Colts cut Vontae Davis, and Al mentions to DMac that both Davis & Andrew Luck have had their problems with Indy’s coaching staff. DMac says Joe Ellis has been with the team a long time, and the guys debate if he is now simply ‘along for the ride.’ In the Big 3 @ 3:30, DMac explains why Michael Felger embarrassed everyone in talk radio, and Al talks about Chris Long’s refreshing sportsmanship with Menelik Watson. Also, Al thinks it’s hilarious Cam Newton compared the Panthers to the Titanic. Kravitz thinks Luck has five more good years, even though it hasn’t worked out in the short term. Also, Al asks Bob if something fishy is going on with the Indianapolis training staff. In Football @ 4:00, DMac mentions Zeke’s suspension is back on, as his stay is lifted, and Big Al says Garett Bolles might turn out to be a better RT or G and the Broncos should try to make a move for Nate Solder. The guys dive into the Broncos dead money conversation for next season, and concur that CJ Anderson is gone after this year. Al says DT is no longer elite like Larry Fitzgerald, and DMac doesn’t seem to understand what Aqib Talib means to this defense. Big Al says one deal can make the No Fly Zone great again, and we haven’t had the same pressure this season as we have in the past. Al thinks Denver should have kept Kayvon Webster if they planned on moving on from Aqib, and DMac says nothing stays the same. Also, the guys talk about the eye test and what fans can learn by going beyond the numbers.

DMac asks Al if he would be stunned to see Aqib Talib traded at the deadline, and the boys decide who our third corner would be if Denver moved on. Breaking out Paxton Lynch seems inevitable at this point, and Big Al & DMac debate how many games we have left with Brock as the starter. Also, Big Al tells the story of his life as an athlete and meeting his hero Warren Moon on the field after he hit him.
