The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Fan Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about Von Miller’s cap hit & dead money next year. Cecil discusses teams like the 49ers that aren’t spending their money, and have the room to take on a contract such as Miller’s.

The guys talk CHSAA and how excited they are for high school sports, and what will happen to the Broncos fan base if the Broncos keep losing. Al mentions what it was like playing in Santa Clara, and what’s the best way to get around in San Francisco. DMac says he doesn’t understand the Eli Manning outrage, and it’s time in New York to give another guy a shot. In the Big 3 @ 3:30, Big Al asks DMac if he would prefer the Minnesota QBs or Eli Manning, and DMac determines that Big Al doesn’t like Eli. DMac asks Adam Gase about time management, and Al doesn’t like Josh Gordon. DMac says don’t be surprised if we don’t see Paxton again, and asks Big Al what we will see the rest of the season from DT and Emmanuel. AJ Derby signs with the Dolphins, and Al tries to figure out how Gase would be on the hot-seat considering he lost his franchise QB.

Derek Wolfe was not at practice, and the guys say there is no rush to get him back on the field this season. DMac says the mood at practice was mellow, and Al laughs about getting a tan in Miami & the ‘Magic Pizza Story.’ DMac points out the only teams to dip under .500 two years after winning the Super Bowl, and draws similarities between this year’s Broncos team, and struggling Super Bowl winners of the past. DMac says teams have to stick with the plan they believe in, and Al wants to know why Denver scrapped theirs. The guys go through some draft prospects on the O-Line for the 2018 NFL Draft, including Quenton Nelson & Connor Williams. Big Al says what’s happening in Houston is not a fad, and the guys try to decide what happens with Musgrave & Woods. DMac notes that Denver’s special teams have been much more consistent over the past few weeks. Also, Big Al thinks it’s more important to land the right coach in Denver than the right players, and the guys rank talent evaluators.

Big Al says the Broncos’ next starting QB is currently on Minnesota’s roster, and Musgrave & VJ should be retained for 2018. DMac finds out the scenario that gives Denver the best chance to win, and the guys restructure & release contracts hypothetically to clear cap space.
