That Looked Like it Hurt: The Drive 10/19/18

The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE FROM ARIZONA!!! Big Al says we never figured Mike McCoy out in Denver, and it was nice to see Von Miller & Bradley Chubb come to life. DMac asks Al what he noticed about the game last night, and Al thinks we may have fixed our rush defense.

Big Al says we travel well, and he likes the Broncos’ chances against anyone on the road. Al said it would be a ‘see you Monday’ type of game, and the Broncos’ coaching staff ran circles around the Cardinals. Also, Von Miller was on fire, DMac says Arizona is a bad team & Big Al tells an incredible story of nearly missing a flight to the National Championship.

DMac says Von Miller planned this all along with Chris Harris Jr & the veterans to get the rest of the team fired up, and tells Big Al David Johnson is no longer special.

In Football @ 4, DMac notices the ‘Fire McCoy’ signs in the stands, and Al says we needed to beat the NY Jets. DMac thinks the KC game will be big for Denver’s coaching staff, and Joe Woods is still on the chopping block.

We hear the injury report from Vance Joseph after the Cardinals game, nobody can get Case Keenum’s name right and DMac takes calls on the Broncos’ performance last night.

DMac reviews some of the top non-QB draft picks, and says you have to try & land a QB even if they turn out being like Charlie Batch. DMac fears drafting Bradley Chubb might have cost the Broncos a shot at the next Peyton Manning.

The guys take a look at the Broncos current record, and DMac entertains the idea of finishing 8-8 and trying to draft a QB with an average draft spot.

Big Al points out some athletes on the roster that make the entire team better, like Peyton Manning & Von Miller. Al says it’s important for Case Keenum to convert third downs, and DMac points out things Von Miller can do that nobody else can. Also, Al can’t believe Phillip Lindsay went undrafted, and thinks he is the best Denver back since Portis.

The guys get into the King Soopers Fan Football Pick ‘Em, and DMac finds out if anyone picked the Cardinals to win. DMac fears an 8-8 record for the next five years, and isn’t sure about Case Keenum leading the offense during that time.

DMac makes fun of some Broncos names, and the guys wrap the show with taking some calls on Chad Kelly & the future.
