5PM – The guys start off the final hour of the show joined by Chad Brown. They ask him about the Broncos QB situation and what the options for the team are. Chad Brown says that the Broncos are just looking for a bridge-the-gap QB, saying that even Colin Kaepernick would be a bridge to the next guy. C.J. heartily disagrees with Chad Brown, pointing out the successes of Kaepernick earlier in his career. C.J. says that Quarterbacks often struggle when there is instability within the organization. Chad Brown says that past success in the NFL has no merit. They talk about whether or not the Broncos will change their philosophy when it comes to resigning future free agents. They talk about how the Broncos’ perspective of the off-season might be completely different than the average observer. They talk about the Avalanche’s loss to the Blues. They talk about what scenarios could lead to the Avs still managing to make the playoffs. They talk about what Patrick Roy said in the studio earlier in the day. C.J. criticizes Roy for not taking responsibility for the Avs struggles in recent years. D-mac brings up how many different mock drafts have the Broncos taking Paxton Lynch, and close the show asking if it makes sense for him to fall to Denver.
