On what’s normally a ‘Game Plan Wednesday,’ it’s The Drive with Big Al and DMac joined by Soren Petro from Kansas City to help us learn who Dave Toub is and what makes him so appealing to this Broncos organization. The fellas also talk with Mike Rodak, ESPN Reporter covering the Bills, joins the show to talk another candidate for the Broncos Head Coaching gig, Anthony Lynn. Tyler Polumbus also joins the show as DMac proposes the Broncos trade Trevor Siemian.
The Drive with Big Al and DMac LIVE in studio get going with DMac and Stokley talking about David Shaw and his chances of becoming the next Broncos Head Coach. Big Al comes in and says it won’t happen, there are only three candidates left, Kyle Shanahan, Vance Joseph and Dave Toub. The Big Three at 3:30 brings in Earl Boykins and brings up Brandon Marshall (of the Jets) said this year was like “sitting in a dirty diaper,” the Giants Receivers took a trip to Miami on a private plane and Michael Bennett says Zach Zenner is the best “white” Running Back in the league. The hour wraps up with the fellas getting Earl’s thoughts on George Karl’s new book and the things that were said during his time while coaching in Denver. Earl played for George as a member of the Nuggets.
Football at Four underway with DMac talking about Adam Gase, who had the foresight with Vance Joseph to bring him in as his Defensive Coordinator. Mike Rodak, Bills Reporter for ESPN, joins the show to give Denver an insight into who Anthony Lynn is as a Coach, person and leader of men. The guys ask Mike about Lynn’s comments after the Bills’ final game regarding personnel. There are some skeptics, as there should be, as he doesn’t have much experience on the sidelines. Mike says Anthony loves Denver, considers it his second home. Listen to the chat with Mike HERE! Next, Soren Petro from Sports Radio 810 WHB in Kansas City joins the show to talk some Dave Toub. The third and final hour of The Drive underway with the fellas comparing the two candidates for the Broncos’ Head Coaching gig that we’ve focused on today, Anthony Lynn from the Bills and Dave Toub from the Chiefs. Alfred says this Broncos job needs to have the ability to be flexible on Offense with your personnel. Tyler Polumbus joins the show as DMac proposes the Broncos trade Trevor Siemian in the off-season to clear up any drama that could brew in the Broncos backfield. Trending up and Trending down, it’s The Closing Bell and it’s ringing on the Broncos’ Quarterback situation mixed in with the Broncos coaching search. Vance Joseph is trending up. Also trending up is Terrell Davis for being named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Trending down are the Raiders because of Connor Cook starting this weekend against the Texans.
