The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio. DMac laughs at Demaryius Thomas after his appearance on TMZ. Three different angles are seen of Rock Canyon’s buzzer-beater against Grandview, and the ball is still in the player’s hand. Julius Peppers decides to return for a 16th season in the NFL, and the guys laugh about 5th down in Missouri years ago. Mike Klis joins the show to talk about being an NFL rookie and the buzz around Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine.
Christian McCaffrey and John Ross impress at the NFL Scouting Combine and Big Al & DMac break it all down. Demaryius Thomas gets his party on and lands on TMZ. DMac remains adamant the Broncos made a mistake in the last week of the season against the Raiders when they didn’t play Lynch. Big Al laughs out loud about what the Broncos would have to give up to move up into O.J. Howard draft range.
Mike Klis joins the show to talk about being an NFL rookie and the buzz around Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine. Klis says it all started with Christian McCaffrey, and his ten reps on the bench press, but McCaffrey finished the doubters with his cone drill and skill exercises. Mike continues to break down what the Broncos are going to do in free-agency. The Broncos will not wait and keep bidding with Okung, and are more likely to move on quickly if a deal can not get done. Christian McCaffrey becomes DMac’s number one prospect after his stellar NFL scouting combine performance, and the guys laugh about what happened to Reuben Foster. DMac says when the ball is in the air, it needs to fall in the hands of the Broncos most talented players & Big Al winds up being wrong on his bold prediction. Big Al wants the biggest bodies in the draft on the Broncos roster, and DMac asks what Denver should do if O.J. Howard is sitting there at pick no. 16 overall. Odds Denver lands Tony Romo are trending up, and Deshaun Watson is clearly Big Al’s big-time QB at the NFL scouting combine.
