The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Jamaal Charles has something to prove in Denver, and the guys discuss how prepared the Cavs & Warriors are for the NBA Playoffs. Earl Boykins joins the show to talk about the Big 3 Tournament, and what happened with the team rosters. Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about how Kyle Sloter’s size, arm and mobility make things interesting when it comes to getting in the mix at QB.
The umpire says something in a women’s softball game on a home-run, and Earl Boykins joins the show to say if you don’t touch all the bases, you’re out. Big Al asks Earl if Isaiah Thomas carries the ball & Earl says I.T. just does things a little better than everyone else. The advantages of Javale McGee, and why someone is better than you if they’ve never lost. Earl explains how he realized Kevin Durant was a better player than Steph Curry, and says K.D. was still the MVP even with Russell Westbrook on the court. Also, when in doubt, follow the money & enjoy retirement.
The guys hear from Shane Ray at Dove Valley & remember when Trevor Pryce talked about Ray Lewis. Shane Ray says do what you say you’re going to do, and he doesn’t care if Bolles was a 7th-rounder, expectations are the same. DMac asks Al what hasn’t Ray seen in a short period of time, and Al says there’s something about Shane that’s genuine, energetic and original. Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about how Kyle Sloter’s size, arm and mobility make things interesting when it comes to getting in the mix at QB. Cecil highlights what Chad Kelly will bring to the team when he’s healthy, and DMac asks if there are any other undrafted FA’s out there for the Broncos to keep an eye on as Training Camp 2017 approaches. Listen to the interview HERE! Also, Nick Saban’s stunning salary & how it all falls in line for the coaches behind him.
Big Al says he would be shocked if Paxton Lynch was not the starter on Day One. DMac says get busy livin’ or get busy dyin’ and the Osweiler train was de-railed by the Peyton Manning story line. Al says as soon as Osweiler signed in Houston, he was the starter and the situations were similar for Bradford & Sanchez. Jared Goff was the 3rd-best QB on the Rams roster in ’16, and DMac scares Al by asking if the Broncos will bring in another quarterback for competition in 2017.
