The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Patrick Saunders joins the show to talk about the Rockies’ main goal over the off-season and if they finally shored up their ailing bullpen.Lisa McCaffrey mentions Christian deciding whether or not he should play in that final Bowl game was one of the family’s hardest decisions, because Christian would have ran through a brick wall for that Stanford team. Lisa highlights the Panthers and Redskins as potential suitors in the Christian McCaffrey sweepstakes when the NFL Draft rolls around in two weeks. Broncos S Justin Simmons joins the show & DMac hits him right away with how he feels about the NFL taking away his ability to leap over the line similar to what he pulled off in New Orleans this year.
The legacy of the Rooney rule, and Pot Roast calls it a career. Al says Paxton will settle into a reserve roll if he doesn’t step up & start leading this team. Lisa McCaffrey joins the show and laughs about watching games together with Big Al & DMac, saying her kid can’t be that bad & the guys must have watched some of Christian’s games this year. Lisa says Al can’t even tackle Christian these days, and is currently in a Denver bachelor pad with his brother, Max. Also, Big Al asks Simmons how many teams he visited with before the draft last year, Simmons is excited to be compared to Doug Flutie, another former BC product, and highlights some BC players that are heading into the NFL draft this year to keep an eye on.
