Schlereth & Evans – 3/30/16 – Wednesday’s show was comprised of Mark and Mike chatting about a few different sports topics both locally and nationally. They dive into the possibility of Josh McCown becoming the next signal caller for the Broncos and are also joined by Avs Head Coach Patrick Roy in studio to discuss his team’s recent struggles.
Hour One kicked off with the guys discussing the latest rumors regarding the Denver Broncos and which quarterback currently on a different roster could be under center for the start of the 2016 season.
The Morning Brew was then poured halfway through the first hour where the gents talked about the Avs loss in St. Louis last night, the new quarterback who could be joining the Broncos, where running back Arian Foster could wind up and the new “One Shining Moment” song that will theme the 2016 Men’s Final Four.
Mark and Mike closed Hour One by taking fan text-ins regarding the Broncos and their current quarterback situation.
Hour Two began with Mark’s famed “Clear The Air” segment where he rips into Brock Osweiler for being too scared of becoming the next great quarterback for the Denver Broncos.
4 Down Territory launched after Mark’s rant where the fellas chatted about how much use Josh McCown would be if he came to Denver, the NFL’s demand that the New York Times retract their concussion claims, the possibility of RB Arian Foster joining the Dolphins, and the likelihood of the Tampa Bay Bucs trading backup QB Mike Glennon.
The guys closed the second hour of Schlereth & Evans with some thoughts on whether or not Broncos GM John Elway made some glaring mistakes during the NFL free agency period.
Hour Three’s beginning portion consisted of Wednesday’s “Behind The Bench” segment with Avalanche Head Coach Patrick Roy joining Mark and Mike in studio. The three of them discussed a few different issues pertaining to the team including the importance of culture among the players, the possible moves that may be made in the off-season, and the coach’s thoughts on how well of a job Executive Vice President Joe Sakic is doing with the roster. Hour Three wrapped up with a conversation with DU Pioneers Head Coach Jim Montgomery to jabber everything Frozen Four ahead of the Pioneers’ trip there this weekend.
