5PM – Big Al & D-Mac Open the final hour by playing a story that Gary Kubiak told at the press conference. D-Mac reflects on the season, saying that the story of the season of incredible to cover. Big Al says that going forward the Broncos will hope to maintain their defensive play, and that poor QB play would not be detrimental to the team. They talk about how different the manner in which the offense operated was for Peyton Manning in 2015 compared to the rest of his career. The guys bring up how many free agents Peyton Manning drew to the Broncos, and they discus the implications of Manning’s retirement on players wanting to play for Denver. Big Al says that if he were a Broncos’ free agent, he would be chasing the money. D-Mac talks about the shock that many players go through after they leave the game. Big Al talks about his experience after he stopped playing. The guys close the show by asking whether or not the Colts made the right move by letting Peyton Manning go, and sending their best wishes to the Sheriff as he rides off into the sunset.
