DMac quickly goes over what situations stand out in regards to Chad Kelly, including fighting bouncers & cops and being thrown out of Clemson. Chad Kelly joins the program, and Big Al asks him to compare himself to an NFL star, and he throws out Brett Favre & John Elway. The family Chad comes from will be beneficial as he takes the next step, and Chad laughs about his dad making him punt, pass and kick every day even if he had to get to the hill via motorized scooter. Also, DMac asks Chad to address his comments outside a Buffalo bar & Chad says he’s a better player & more mature than Johnny Manziel. Chad says he’s blessed to be a part of a franchise like the Denver Broncos. Listen to the interview HERE! Big Al is impressed with the New England Patriots draft despite their limited number of picks, and Marshawn Lynch is now officially a Raider. Finally, Drew Pearson gets the Philly fans fired up with his pick of Chidobe Awuzie to the Cowboys.
Big Al likes big guys that move like small ones, and says Malik was great at knocking passes down. DMac wonders if Bolles is ready to play right now, and how much playing time Isaiah McKenzie will get right away. The guys go over DeAngelo Henderson’s unknowns, and can’t believe the Buffalo Bills’ timing regarding the firing of Doug Whaley. Big Al highlights Vance Joseph’s comments about drafting guys for a reason, and says the Broncos never gave Paxton Lynch a fair shake last year when they wouldn’t fit the offense to his mold.
DMac mentions a couple of guys to keep an eye on in the future, like Dalvin Cook in Minnesota. Big Al says Broncos fans must get used to watching Paxton Lynch go through growing pains, and Denver is set to unveil a new system of playcalling. The Avs get hosed with the NHL Draft Lottery, and the Rockies need to find a way to score a run in 13-inning games. Also, DMac asks Al if he’s excited to see Jamaal Charles play one more healthy year in the NFL, and Al says he needs to see great players finish on their own terms.
