The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE IN STUDIO!!! Rod Mackey with 9NEWS joins the show to preview the Broncos matchup tonight against the Arizona Cardinals.

DMac tells Big Al he’s excited to see Adam ‘PacMan’ Jones play tonight, and Al says Fumagalli is going on Injured Reserve. DMac thinks Su’a Cravens is a good story, but needs to play, and reminds him of Jarvis Moss. Big Al wants to make sure Cravens won’t quit on the team. Elvis Dumerville retires, and DMac laughs about the fax machine problems that kept Denver from resigning him years ago. Big Al says Denver should not have asked Dumerville to take a pay-cut, and DMac says it doesn’t make sense what’s going on with Khalil Mack. Al & DMac discuss the NFL colluding against Colin Kaepernick, and Big Al says John Elway should have kept quiet when he was questioned about Kaepernick at his presser a few weeks ago. Also, how the Eric Reid case compares to Kaepernick’s.

The boys continue their conversation about the Colin Kaepernick gag order, and agree that Elway should have said nothing. DMac & Al take some calls on the Kaepernick conversation, and DMac says you can’t tell him Kaepernick can’t come in to compete. We hear from the fellas, who say Kaepernick has lost out on salary, Elway offered him a contract & he passed, and Kaep’s situation compares to Brock Osweiler’s. Big Al tells DMac we are set to have a fantastic September in sports here in Colorado with the Rockies in the NL West division race, and wants DMac to keep a close eye on Vance Joseph calling the defense instead of Joe Woods. The boys laugh about Peyton Manning’s story at the Colts’ luncheon reflecting on his SNL skit with the United Way, and DMac says it would be nice to see Peyton have a role with this current Broncos team. Also, Big Al hates Jon Gruden, and asks if there’s a retired player DMac would like to hear in the broadcast booth.

Al tells DMac he wants to see nasty defense from the Broncos tonight, and we don’t need to see anything from Chad Kelly or Chris Harris Jr. Also, DMac takes a call on the Rockies schedule the rest of the way & their strategy moving forward, as well as the Rocky Mountain Showdown. Al & DMac take a look at the players that will dress for tonight’s game against the Cardinals, and DMac says there’s a reason why all these players are suiting up. Al says he is surprised Adam ‘PacMan’ Jones will be playing. Rod Mackey with 9NEWS joins the show to preview the Broncos matchup tonight against the Arizona Cardinals. Rod says Animal Style is the way to go at In-n-Out, and tells the guys if Royce Freeman will suit up tonight.
