The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Football Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to look at the Broncos’ 3-1 record through four weeks, and says we should feel better than we did last year even, when the Broncos were 4-0 with an injured QB1. Thomas Harding joins the show choking on the playoff pressure, and tells Al & DMac what the Rockies champagne celebration at Coors Field was like.

What Al learned about Andy Reid & Kareem Hunt, and what KC’s O-Line does so well on trap plays with a creative run game. DMac asks Al why Joe Thomas wants to stay in CLE and the guys debate if Todd Helton loved it here. Al says some guys are simply happy with where they are, and tells DMac what the Browns really want for Joe Thomas. Al thinks the one guy that can change the O-Line in Denver is Duane Brown, and DMac reminds him why the Texans can wait on getting a deal done with Brown. The boys talk about what LaMelo Ball is going to do, and DMac notes that with the right tudors & training, LaMelo just might be okay. Some parents don’t want their athletes being part of the high school experience, and the guys compare LaMelo’s situation to Tim Tebow. We hear from LaVar Ball on why LaMelo’s coach isn’t up to par, and Al asks DMac if he likes the draft idea for the ’17 NBA All-Star Game. Also, Big Al says Kareem Hunt is the best RB in the NFL right now. DMac says Pat Bowlen is like Ned Stark, and tells Al how the House of Ellis sets up in future generations, as well as what happens with all the children & wives in the Bowlen family. Pat Bowlen has seven kids total, and the guys explain why Johnny Bowlen is on the outside looking in after his arrests. DMac asks Al why wouldn’t Joe Ellis hang on as long as possible, and he’s expecting someone else is about to step in the picture to buy up John Bowlen’s shares so he can cash out

The guys get into the Broncos remaining schedule, and define what road games are left that Denver needs to worry about. Al tells DMac the Raiders are not out of it with E.J. Manuel at the helm, and even predicts a win over Buffalo for Oakland. Football Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to look at the Broncos’ 3-1 record through four weeks, and says we should feel better than we did last year even, when the Broncos were 4-0 with an injured QB1. Cecil smells blood in the water, and the Patriots defense looked vulnerable last week against Cam Newton & Co. in Week 4. Also, Cecil believes the Broncos can sustain their success stopping the run throughout the entire ’17 campaign. Listen to the interview HERE! Al compares Alex Smith to Joe Flacco in his prime, and tries to explain why he likes Smith now compared to his time in SF. Al thinks Trevor Siemian can’t be compared to a Super Bowl winning QB, and DMac disagrees, but notes Tom Brady comparisons are a stretch. The guys agree the future is bright for Trevor, and he has the stats to back it. The guys start yelling about Trevor Siemian being the next Kyle Orton, or the next Tom Brady, and if Kyle Orton had enough to lead an NFL franchise to a Super Bowl win. Also, Big Al says Darian Stewart is bordering on team MVP now that Denver has parted ways with T.J. Ward, and DMac notes that there were signs the end was near with Ward.

DMac brings up Aqib Talib’s player option & how long he will remain a member of the No Fly Zone. Big Al says the Broncos had a bad day in the Red Zone on Sunday because of the multiple sacks Trevor took, and the bad penalty by Bolles. Also, Big Al grades out the Broncos coaching staff, offensive & defensive units for their game on Sunday against Oakland. Thomas Harding joins the show choking on the playoff pressure, and tells Al & DMac what the Rockies champagne celebration at Coors Field was like. Big Al says Jon Gray needs to fly like an Ace now that this is for all the marbles, and Thomas Harding says he sees a talented player in Gray, but not necessarily an Ace for the Rockies’ pitching staff, despite total confidence Gray can get the job done against Arizona. Harding notes that once Gray brings up the efficiency, the label of ‘Ace’ can be used, and credits Gray’s coaching as a reason for his progression. Listen to the interview HERE! Al & DMac take some calls on Trevor Siemian reminding Broncos Country of Kyle Orton when the game is on the line. DMac says we still don’t know quite what Siemian’s personality will be, and Al says Siemian is simply doing his job, and is good at that. To wrap, the guys are happy Isaiah McKenzie’s mistake on a punt return didn’t come back to bite us, and the callers get after Big Al on his Broncos grades for the Raiders game.
