The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about what a plus player is. Al says the Broncos have a ton of them on defense, but questions whether C.J. Anderson has been a plus player in previous seasons. Mike Pritchard joins the show to talk Money Mayweather in Vegas & what it does to the vibe & hype in the area. Pritch talks finding a role for home-run-hitter Jamaal Charles, and says the Broncos are not looking at Jamaal as a between-the-tackles guy.

Al starts off with the tough loss the Rockies were handed by the KC Royals & notes their struggles on the road. Al is floored by how many games the Rockies squeeze into a schedule and DMac says these games are huge despite them fading down the stretch. Big Al says Siemian can make all the throws, and DMac highlights some plays Trevor has made throughout camp that could get Broncos fans excited about their QB putting up big numbers. The guys hear from Mike McCoy on the kind of season Demaryius Thomas is about to have, and DMac & Al mention how Trevor makes the offense better. Emmanuel Sanders has a hard time getting to work yesterday, and gets in an accident. Big Al fears Sanders is not in the right state of mind, and the guys wonder why Sanders gets away with stuff like that here, but maybe not as a member of the Patriots. The Browns now seem saddled with Brock Osweiler’s big contract, and DMac wants to know when Cleveland will just move forward with DeShone Kizer. Dmac has who he thinks will make the Broncos 53-man roster, and Al says what about Shaq Barrett & Brandon Marshall. The guys compare mock 53-man rosters & debate which players to put on PUP & IR lists.

In Football at Four, DMac explains what happens with Siemian, Carlos Henderson & Kalif Raymond. Big Al & DMac are keeping an eye on Shelby Harris, and Al says Denver needs a plus player at RB. DMac tries to convince Al DeAngelo Henderson looks like Christian McCaffrey. Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about what a plus player is. Trying to predict when Trevor Siemian will get injured & who will back him up when that time comes. The debate rages on whether Kyle Sloter should be kept on the roster as the backup to Siemian, and if Paxton Lynch is even ready to be an NFL quarterback right now. The guys make schedule predictions & decide if the Broncos make playoffs with a 10-6 or 9-7 record. The fans call in wondering how far Denver can make it if Siemian gets hurt, and Al highlights the toughest matchups on the schedule. Taking calls on Paxton even making the team after being selected with the Broncos first-round pick last season, and Emmanuel Sanders needs to be more careful while driving to work. Also, Brandon Marshall is thinking about taking a knee once again during the National Anthem for the ’17 season.
