The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Earl Boykins joins the show to say the Seahawks haven’t been the same since dropping Super Bowl XLIX to the Patriots. Cecil Lammey joins the show to say Paxton Lynch has failed to win the job here in Denver, and DMac & Al ask Cecil about some revisionist history, trying to pinpoint athletes that had a skill-set that perfectly fit the Denver Broncos scheme. Troy Renck joins the show to say put him on the list of non-believers in Jay Cutler. Troy mentions in order to seal up the open competition between Lynch & Siemian, each one must start & complete one game apiece in the preseason.

Riley Dixon kicking field goals, and what parenting was all about. Al talks beast mode at the guard position, naming Allen Barbre as the starting LG & Leary as a leader. What to do with Andy Janovich & Al doesn’t want to keep Devontae Booker. The guys have their differences about Charles making the team & Juwan Thompson getting cut. Al has Kyle Sloter making the team & Chad Kelly making practice squad, and Jordan Taylor getting cut. Al wants the Falcons to acknowledge the fact they lost the Super Bowl, and Earl Boykins joins the show to say the Seahawks never recovered from dropping XLIX to the Patriots & haven’t been the same team since. Also, Earl wonders why Paxton Lynch is struggling to distance himself from merely a serviceable QB like Siemian.

All the pressure has built up on Paxton, and he’s simply not delivering the goods for being a 1st-round pick. Cecil Lammey joins the show to say Paxton Lynch has failed to win the job here in Denver, and DMac & Al ask Cecil about some revisionist history, trying to pinpoint athletes that had a skill-set that perfectly fit the Denver Broncos scheme. Al says the bottom line in life is not making the same mistakes over & over again. Cecil previews wild-card Chad Kelly, and says he is coming for the top QB job in a hurry once he heals from injury. The offensive line intrigues Troy, and he’s interested in the tweaks to the run-scheme. Al says there is more hitting & more reps this year than last, but wonders about the QBs not wearing their shoulder pads on shorts day. Big Al says Chip Kelly was on his way to making a machine, and his ego got in the way. DMac tries to devise a plan that gets Paxton Lynch the job coming out of the Broncos preseason games, and Al mentions the amount of chances Paxton will have to take to at least keep himself in the conversation.
